Due it it's wide-range of medicinal uses, it is very common to have a tulsi plant in every home. various parts of this plant are used in the treatment of insect bites, fever, cardiac diseases and gynecological disorders. Tulsi tea is a great stress buster with good amount of antioxidants.
This plant requires 6 to 8 hours of sunlight. Plant them in a good fertile soil. Spacing with a distance of 12 to 18 inches is recommended. Cover the top with mulch to retain moisture. Because it is harvested continually for it's leaves, it needs little fertilizer.
